5 Tips to Make more Money with Affiliate Programs
Affiliate programs are a very effective way to start making money from your blog. First, you need to choose the right affiliate service, then you need to start adding third-party products to your blog content or displaying their ads. After doing these two things, then you will start making your first money.
But just because you follow these two steps correctly, does not mean that you will be sure of success. And while there are many tips and tricks on the internet to make more money with affiliate programs, in reality, all you need to do is follow some simple and short tips. Which of course I quote below.
1. Add ads
Depending on the affiliate company you have chosen, you also have some standard ads that you can place on your blog. The best way to make as much money as possible is to place ads in your articles.
If you want the ads to be visible, then you can add a banner at the beginning or end of each article, otherwise, you can add advertising links that take visitors to a specific product you are advertising.
After you add ads to your articles, the rest of the blog continues. Add banner ads that match the design of your blog in the sidebar, at the top where your logo is (header) and (optional) at the bottom of the blog (footer).
However, you should pay close attention to the number of ads you add, Google Adsense for example allows up to three ads per page. Another idea is to add promotional videos or popup windows that open with an ad on the first visit of a visitor (I do not recommend them though).
2. Advertising articles
Most affiliate services offer a selection of advertising links. Write an article about a product you want to promote, and then instead of putting the regular link to the product website, put the promotional link.
This way the visitor can not understand if this is an ad or not (unless you make it look like that) and if he places an order you will get the appropriate percentage.
However, you should pay close attention to how you write these articles. An article that has an advertising link for an irrelevant product that has nothing to do with the subject matter of the article will drive your visitors away very quickly.
The same will happen to your articles, it is obvious that they exist exclusively for advertising purposes and profits.
You should continue to write everything you have written so far, with the only difference being that there will be banner ads and advertising links to products that you really wanted to publish or talk about.
3. Post reviews for products or companies
If you have used a product or service from an advertiser that you can advertise on your blog and make money, do it.
Start writing a review for the specific product and put the advertising link in the links to it. However, you must pay attention to the reviews you write.
That is, do not write reviews with only positive comments in the hope that your visitors will place the order and you will make money.
Because this way you will not only lose the credibility of your blog, you will also have very bad comments and most likely a bad reputation will come out for what you write or promote. Always be honest.
4. Create affiliate pages
Many bloggers create pages with “suggested products or services” where they add a bunch of affiliate advertising links or banners.
For example, if you are a blogger using WordPress, you can create a “Featured” page to add a bunch of links and banners with themes, plugins, and tools for WordPress or Bluehost’s official website.
However, if you do, at the top of the page you should inform your visitors that yes you recommend them all because you have tried them, but it is for advertising purposes.
5. Promote your content
Each time you publish an article, you will first review it and then promote it on social media (such as Facebook, Linked In, and Pinterest), and then send it to all the emails you have.
The more people who see your article, the more likely they are to click on your ads and make money.
